President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko reached Pakistan on Tuesday on invitation of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.
PM Nawaz received Belarusian President at Noor Khan Air Base. He will meet President Mamnoon Hussain and speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq as well.
Lukashenko will sign contracts regarding textile, agriculture and education projects. This is his second visit to Pakistan in 16 months. He will also inaugurate Pakistan-Belarus business forum on the fourth day.
The recent visit of Belarus President is not going to benefit Pakistan. MoUs will be signed and the supply of the goods will be delivered from Nawaz & company.
Between 2001 and 2005, the national economy demonstrated steady and dynamic growth. The GDP grew at an average rate of 7.4 percent, peaking in 2005 at 9.2 percent. This growth was mainly a result of the performance of the industrial sector, which grew on average more than 8.7 percent per year, with a high of 10.4 percent in 2005.
Potatoes, flax, hemp, sugarbeets, rye, oats, and wheat are the chief agricultural products. Dairy and beef cattle, pigs, and chickens are raised. Belarus has only small reserves of petroleum and natural gas and imports most of its oil and gas from Russia.
The main branches of industry produce tractors and trucks, earth movers for use in construction and mining, metal-cutting machine tools, agricultural equipment, motorcycles, chemicals, fertilizer, textiles, and consumer goods. The chief trading partners are Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Germany.
The Belarus GDP grew 9.9% in 2006 in the first quarter 2007, GDP grew 8.2%. GDP further grew in 2008 by 10%.
Mariam Nawaz’s Son Received Belarus President
Mariam Nawaz’s son Muhammad Junaid Safdar received the President. Now the question is in what capacity he is receiving the foreignn President ? Juanid Safdar is all set to launch his business ventures in Belarus. His attitude and behavior is not less than a royal prince. He moves with Punjab police and enjoys the protocol of a state minister.
Nawaz and family are going to launch Junaid in International business sector. On the official page of PMLN, it is clearly seen that Junaid is receiving the President of Belarus.
