Lahore: Light rain was observed in several cities of Punjab on Thursday while snowfall, hailstorm and cold winds also intensified chill across the country.
Intermittent rain continues in several cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad on Thursday, which made weather pleasant, though a bit cold as well.
Those who were anxious about coming hot weather have got a little relaxed as rain and snowfall hit several parts of the country.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), westerly wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country, which will persist till Saturday.
PMD predicted that rain-thunderstorm and light snowfall over hills are expected for next twenty four hours at scattered places in Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawlapindi, Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. While gusty winds will blow in Sindh and Balochistan.
Thursday’s lowest minimum temperatures recorded in various cities were as under:
- Sakardu, Astore -02°C
- Mureee, Gupis, Bagrote, Kalam and Malam Jabba -01°C
