Large cache of weapons recovered in Karachi


Karachi: Rangers personnel recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition during a raid in Azizabad, Karachi.

Paramilitary force personnel conducted a raid at house no. 512 near the Khurshid Begum memorial hall, sealed headquarters of the Muttahida Quami Movement. During the raid Rangers recovered and seized weapons, which were hidden behind wall.

Seized arms were belonged to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London workers to be used in criminal activities in the city. Additional Inspector General Sindh also said that the arms belonged to those who lived in London and South Africa, to be used to create violence and disturb law and order situation in Karachi.

The seized weapons include, 20 Submachine Guns (SMGs), 2 Light Machine Guns, 1 G3 rifle, one 7mm rifle, 3 sniper rifles, 2 .22 bore pistols and over 10,000 rounds of various types of ammunition.
