Kuwait lifts visa ban for Pakistani nationals after six years


Kuwait City: Kuwait has lifted its ban on visas for Pakistan after six years; now Pakistanis can apply for Kuwait visa.

The decision was made on Tuesday during the meeting held between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

In 2011, Kuwait had suspended all visas for visit, tourism and trade including those sponsored by spouses for nationals of  Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan due to unbalanced security conditions in these countries.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  had arrived at Bayan Palace on Tuesday where he held talks with leadership of Kuwait. He, accompanied by high-level delegation, is on two-day official visit to Kuwait following the invitation of Emir of Kuwait.
