The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finally consented upon to get the help of Punjab government to get rid of growing dengue epidemic.
A special medical team of Punjab government had been sent to KPK to tackle the epidemic of dengue fever which is affecting a large number of people in KPK.
Earlier the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had refused to give access to Punjab medical team to various hospitals of KPK. The KPK government was stubborn to its stance of tackling the disease with its own resources.
More than 80 people have been diagnosed with dengue fever during the first inspection of Punjab medical team. PML-N leader Amir Muqam also visited the medical camp of Punjab government and review the arrangements there.
Later, KPK Health Minister Shahram Tarkai contacted the Punjab government and urged Khawaja Imran Nazir, Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Health, for assistance in tackling the dengue disease. The medical team of Punjab have been assigned duties to tackle the growing epidemic of dengue fever. The medical team of Punjab government is equipped with modern facilities and medicines.
