Journalists seek registration of FIR against PTI’s leader Aleem Khan


ISLAMABAD: A group of journalists on Wednesday filed an application with the Islamabad police, seeking registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI’s) senior member Aleem Khan, media sources reported.

The application was filed some hours after TV channels showed footage, showing Aleem arguing with journalist.

The reporter had asked a question during Imran khan’s press conference regarding allegations that he accompanied by land mafia. Though Khan did not PTI’s chief did not respond the question, however, after he left, Aleem Khan exchanged harsh words with the journalists. He along with his body-guard also tried to beat him up; but other journalists intervened in the matter after which Aleem Khan moved out.

Aleem Khan also offered the journalist a plot; but advised him not to ask such questions.

Journalist organizations and state minster Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the action of Aleem Khan.

Aleem Khan is known as the land mafia among the public generally and in his constituency particularity, including the land scam of Park View Housing Society. He is also alleged for grabbing several housing societies and plots.
