Islamabad: The Jammat-e-Islami (JI) is going to file a petition in the Supreme Court on Monday (tomorrow) seeking court orders for an investigation of Panama Papers leaks and waiver of loans.
The JI sources claimed to have reached a decision in this regard and they want complete and comprehensive interrogation of the Panama leaks.
The sources said, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq would himself go to the Supreme Court for filing the petition.
The sources further added that JI has made all the necessary preparations for filing the petition in the apex court. It is worth mentioning here that Siraj-ul-Haq had stated few days earlier that his party would file a petition in the Supreme Court on August 22, seeking court orders for an investigation into the Panama leaks and waiver of loans.
Haq said the JI wanted across-the-board accountability of all politicians having offshore companies and those who got their loans written off.
Moreover, it is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has already filed the petitions against PMLN president and Primier of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif.
Besides, PTI chief Imran Khan is leading the ‘Tehreek-e Ehtisab’ rallies across the country in order to mobilize the masses against the Panama leaks beneficiaries.
