What a sad day for PTI leadership as Jahangir Tareen Khan, senior PTI leader but disqualified by NAB, is caught in the onslaught of the PTI workers at Bani Gala when they are weeks short of General Elections of 2018.
Malcontented workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been protesting for the past few days over the ticket allotments outside Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence with serious concerns over selection committee criterion.
The major concern of the enraged PTI workers was that the ticket should be allocated to those workers who are either in the constituency or have worked for PTI for years. The issue of merit started colliding with the recent policy of PTI leadership to opting out for electables.
Pertinent to note here that the PTI leadership allocated tickets in majority to those who joined PTI weeks before the General Elections 2018 from other parties instead of its ideological workers who were there since day one.
Protesters also asserted that the candidates who live and work in the constituency must be nominated rather than outsiders or newcomers. Majority of the protesters at Bani Gala are hailing from constituencies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

PTI Chairperson, Imran Khan, confirmed in a recent interview that the process of review petitions is on, and soon the concerns would be resolved.
