Islamabad summons Afghan Embassy official; records its protest

Islamabad: Pakistan Foreign Office on Monday summoned Afgahan Embassy official and recorded strong protest over last night’s militants attack on Mohmand Agency from across the border.

Afghan Deputy Head of Mission (DHM), Syed Abdul Nasir Yousafi was called in foreign office and Pakistani authorities recorded their protest and asked him to investigate the last night attack and prepare full report on it.

On Sunday night, militants from Afghan side attacked three Pakistani posts in Mohmand Agency in which 5 Pakistani soldier were killed, to which effective response was given.

In counter attack from Pakistani soldiers on terrorists, 10 were reportedly killed.

Jamaat ul Ahrar, a faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed the responsibility of the attack.
