Islamabad police baton-charge at PTI workers
Islamabad: Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were baton-charged and arrested as they gathered to take part in Youth Convention in Islamabad on Thursday.
According to the details, the police have also tortured women workers of PTI, who came to Islamabad for attending the Youth Convention.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vice Chairperson of PTI Shah Mehmood Queshi and Asad Umar were also present among the workers.
PTI VC Shah Mahmood Qureshi told the media that their youth convention was ptoceeding peacefully when police assaulted their workers. He asked the question why they are being forced to stop attending youth convention.
If a police official is listening to our voice, he must come here to talk to us, PTI VC maintained.
While talking to media, Shah Mahmood asked PM Nawaz Sharif to recall the time when General Musharraf treated his (PM’s) wife badly and he was very upset. He asked Nawaz Sharif to stay away from their woman and daughters.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party leader Latif Khosa said that this is the not the government of PMLN but the government of ‘Gullu Butts’.
He maintained that the government is torturing the workers of a political party; it seems that government wants to go home very soon, Latif Khosa added.
