Inquiry committee compiles report, suggests action against Saeed and Latif

Islamabad: The inquiry committee on Monday has finished probe into the brawl which broke out between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI’s) Murad Saeed and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PMLN’s) Javed Latif. The penalty has also been suggested.

The committee has proposed two-day ban on Saeed and asked to impose eight-day ban on Latif and the report has been submitted to Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.

Latif is also asked to apologize on March 21 for his abusive remarks.

Ijazul Haq, Tariqullah, Ghos Baksh Mehar and other members participated in a session of the six-member inquiry committee held today.

In Punjab Assembly, PTI has moved resolution condemning Latif’s remarks, which asks for legal and constitutional actions against Javed Latif under article 62 and 63.

Last week, heated arguments during assembly session turned into shameful scuffle between Saeed and Latif outside assembly’s hall. Latif passed indecent remarks over Saeed’s female family members, on which Saeed punched him.
