Srinagar, October 08 (Online): In occupied Kashmir, a minor boy has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar, raising the number of civilians killed by the Indian forces pellet guns’ firing during the ongoing Kashmir Intifada to 110.
The 12-year-old school boy, Junaid Ahmad, sustained head injuries when Indian forces fired pellets on peaceful protesters in Saidpora area of Srinagar on Friday. He was shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries early today morning.
Thousands of people reached the home of the martyred youth when his dead body was brought from the hospital at around 6 AM on Saturday. They marched towards the Martyrs’ Graveyard at Eidgah in Srinagar to offer his funeral prayers.
With the killing of Junaid Ahmad, the death toll in the ongoing Intifada has risen to 110. The Intifada was triggered by the extrajudicial murder of noted freedom-fighter, Burhan Wani, on July 8, this year.
