Imran says government should form commission headed by CJ to probe Panama Leaks
Before departure to London talking to media correspondents, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief said that he want the details of all the assets of mainstream Prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that the PM’s son Hussain Nawaz sold a house in London for Rs 4 billion. “Where did he get the money from?”
He said that the prime minister should be clear about his family’s family asset. “They should not hide behind the garb of democracy. Democracy demands accountability of leader.”
Imran Khan said that Prime minister is violating the rules of the Election Commission of Pakistan by not showing his possession of assets and also restricting paying taxes.
“If he was true to democracy like the British Prime Minister David Cameron, he would have appeared before the parliament, like Cameron appeared before the House of Commons.”
Khan also calls for an independent commission headed by the CJ i.e Chief Justice so that the incumbent Prime minister Nawaz association to offshore campanies named in the Panama Leaks could be clear.
“If we are able to try a sitting Prime Minister, this will mark history for democracy in Pakistan.”
For the visit to London he commented that he is going for two charity events for Shaukat Khanum Hospital. “But in the wake of Panama Leaks I will also talk to independent auditors who will investigate the Prime Minister’s alleged involvement in offshore companies.”
He added that the PTI will lead a march to Raiwand, where the personal residence of Nawaz Sharif is situated, if an independent commission headed by the Chief Justice is not formed.
Piror, PTI had invited several parties to join hand with them to Raiwand March where Pakistan Peoples’ Party give red light signal to invitation.
