Imran Khan Meets the Officials of Regional Cricket Association
Najam Sethi & Shakil Sheikh could be in trouble
Imran Khan today met with the Regional Cricket Associations’ Presidents (RCA). In addition to receiving their best wishes for his much-awaited innings as the Prime Minister of Pakistan in a few days from now, he was also in receipt of the grievings of the RCAP regarding Najam Sethi and Shakil Sheikh.
According to sources, RCAP delegation demanded to sack Najam Sethi and Shakil Sheikh, both senior journalists who have been the movers and shakers of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by holding the topmost positions in the board.
Pertinent to note here that Sethi in advance sensed the potential sacking prior to the General Elections 2018 and made amendments accordingly in the Constitution of PCB to barricade the upcoming governments from meddling in the affairs of PCB.
According to sources, Sethi, 70-year-old, won’t surrender so easily.
According to the new PCB Constitution, he has been given the duty for three years and this is the first year of his residency at PCB.
It was further clarified, if expelled, he has the choice to approach the court while the ICC will likewise not endure this.
Notwithstanding who ends up leading the PCB, cricket fans are concerned only with good cricket and capable leadership at the top, which Khan will ensure once he is installed in the PM office, in alignment with his promises.
