Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf, Imran Khan asked government to take rational decision which would give good image of the country instead of bad one.
He has criticised the government’s decision to host the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore, saying holding a cricket match in a curfew-like situation would be detrimental to Pakistan’s image.
Mr Khan stated “Under such monumental security arrangements, matches can even be held in Iraq and Syria.”
He was talking to media while attending a conference to highlight the achievements of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in its implementation of the ‘billion tree tsunami’ project.
However, reporters present mainly asked questions about the forthcoming cricket final, diverting attention from the purpose of the conference.
