Illusion or advancement, Dubai to have a hanging tower from space

The tower will be suspended from the space via an asteroid orbiting 50,000 kms above Earth.

The astonishing building was proposed by a New York-based firm which would make Dubai the site for revolutionary, asteroid-suspended super structure tower.
Clouds Architecture has proposed the design of Analemma Tower. The design shows that the tower would be suspended from space on an asteroid orbiting the earth at a distance of 50,000 kms. The tower would orbit the earth in a figure-eight mold across the northern and southern hemispheres in a 24-hour cycle each day.

The tower would be hanged from an asteroid, from which the proposed skyscraper would be suspended using high-strength cables.

The firm described the tower’s building structure as “Analemma will invert the traditional diagram of an earth-based foundation, instead depending on a space-based supporting foundation from which the tower is suspended.”
The new unique space-based support for building structure is referred as ‘Universal Orbital Support System (UOSS).’
“By placing a large asteroid into orbit over earth, a high-strength cable can be lowered towards the center of earth from which a giant tower can be suspended. Since this new tower typology is suspended in the air, it can be constructed anywhere in the world and transported to its final location,” the firm statement reads.
The firm proposed ‘Dubai’ as the best place for the suspension of such magnificent tower.
The designer of the tower said: “the proposal calls for Analemma to be constructed over Dubai, which has proven to be a specialist in tall building construction at one-fifth of the cost of New York City construction.”

Even though, the idea seems impractical or borrowed from a science-fiction film, Clouds says that the projected idea is much nearer to reality.
