KARACHI: An International Cricket Council Champions Trophy 2017 has arrived Edhi Home Thursday morning and spread smile on every face.
Faisal Edhi, head of Edhi foundation and son of late Abdul Sattar Edhi welcomed officials of International Cricket Council and Pakistan Cricket Board. Edhi Home became the first stop during the trophy’s Karachi tour.
All rounder and former captain Shahid Afridi also attended the occasion; volunteers and residents gathered around him and greeted him warmly.
After Edhi Home the next stop of the trophy will be Karachi University where students will get an opportunity to watch the trophy and click selfies with it.
In the afternoon, during the trophy’s tour to university Younis Khan will also attend the event which will be an attractive site for cricket lovers.
The ICC trophy tour kicked off earlier this year from India, where it visited Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Dhaka and Colombo. After Pakistan, the next stop of the trophy will be South Africa.
The Trophy will then proceed to the National Stadium, which will mark the conclusion of its tour of the city.
