Hurriyat leader Yaseen Malik released from jail
SRINAGAR: Yaseen Malik, the chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), has been released from jail in Indian-held Kashmir, the media reported here.
Wife of Yaseen Malik, Mishaal Malik has confirmed his release as he reached home on Saturday evening, according to the JKLF spokesperson.
According to the details, Yaseen Malik has been badly treated in jail as he was not given the basic needs including food and water. He was released from jail after four months.
Earlier, he was re-shifted to jail on Thursday from Soura Medical Institute where he was admitted for treatment of arm infection.
The infection developed when he was reportedly given wrong injection.
The health of jailed Hurriyat leader had deteriorated and he was shifted to the intensive care unit in a critical condition.
The reports revealed Muhammad Yaseen Malik was in inhumane conditions under illegal detention of Indian armed forces. He was under observation at the ICU at a local private hospital in Srinagar.
Mishaal Malik, who resides in Pakistan, had recently claimed in a press conference that her husband’s condition was not stable and he was being kept in inhumane conditions. Moreover, she had written letters and appealed to several forums of the world including United Nations and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin for the immediate release of her husband.
