Set Routine

If people set a timetable they will be able to plan their day and believe that they can pass time. They will be able to think about new ideas to improve their living standard. If they know what they have to do they will not stress and they will not panic, moreover, they will also know that they have activities to do so they cannot waste time worrying. This way, when they are passing time, they will not feel lonely.

It is also said that depression patients complain that they cannot identify between different days, this means that due to the same routine they seem alike which causes boredom. Furthermore, depression patients lose the will to try, setting a routine will help them with developing the will to try to achieve their goals such as paying electricity and gas bills in the morning, cooking a dish for lunch, and watching a movie at night.

Set Goals

This helps to keep one motivated and it keeps their mind busy and working. It also helps in giving one the feeling of accomplishment that makes them feel good about themselves and they will inevitably want to increase the scale of their goals with time. This will improve their condition and bring them back to living a normal and happy life with whatever circumstances they are going through.

They should set goals such as getting a new haircut, making a new friend, managing to save some extra money from the monthly expenses or waking up early and going for a jog or perhaps just looking at people jog while sitting on the bench beside.

Exercise

This is very important to keep the body functioning and the brain will start working better this way. One also stays active which helps one try to improve their condition themselves. This will also act as a pass time and an escape from normal days and their boring monotonous routine.

It temporarily boosts feel-good chemicals called endorphins. It may also have long-term benefits for people with depression. Regular exercise seems to encourage the brain to rewire itself in positive ways.

One doesn’t necessarily need to exercise a lot they can simply walk for a couple of minutes or go to the gym and spend some time there or else the person can simply cycle to places they go every day.

It is very true that people either tend to eat a lot when they feel depressed or eat nothing, it is a way of making the body feel better, what we do not realize is that this habit will make it harder to recover.

People should have a bit of dark chocolate every day since it makes one feel happy.

Improve your Sleeping Habits

Sleeping too much can make one lethargic and lazy, this way they will lose the motivation to keep working hard and rely on sleep to escape the sadness of real life rather than facing it. On the other hand, sleep too little can ruin the body and it will hamper the brain to function properly. A lack of sleep also makes one feel lazy and tensed. People should sleep for at least 6 to 8 hours.
