Gilgit-Baltistan belongs to India, British Parliament

According to British Parliament Gilgit-Baltistan belongs to India even it is currently controlled by Pakistan.

A motion was passed in the British Parliament condemning Islamabad’s announcement declaring Gilgit-Baltistan as its fifth frontier, saying the region is a legal and constitutional part of Jammu and Kashmir which Pakistan has occupied since 1947.

Gilgit-Baltistan is a legal and constitutional part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India, which is illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947, and where people are denied their fundamental rights including the right of freedom of expression,” British Parliament notion says.

According to the notion, It may be recalled that Pakistan had invaded Jammu and Kashmir soon after partition and had taken control of the Gilgit-Baltistan area. Recently, the Pakistani government has suggested the conversion of Gilgit-Baltistan into its fifth province.
