Lahore: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa ensured his full cooperation to the Chief Minister Punjab over the security of Pakistan Super League final match in Lahore.
During a telephonic conversation between Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief; both discussed the conduction of final match of PSL in Lahore. Army Chief said that army will fully cooperate to ensure security and asked Shehbaz about requirements.
He said: “Anything that is required for the mega event should be discussed with Army to enhance security situation in mega event.”
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting of provincial cabinet to review law and order situation; along with representatives of related departments Pakistan Army personnel were also present in the meeting. It was decided to arrange special shuttle bus service to take fans to the stadium.
CM said that it was the supreme preference of government to remove the wave of terrorism from society, and to provide a peaceful environment to the public.
He said, organizing PSL final match in Lahore was the desire of every citizen; added, it will create good name of the country and will send positive image of Pakistan in the whole world.
CM directed to plan fool proof security arrangements for the match; he also gave instructions about maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the stadium.
