A clinical trial of another medication in France has abandoned one individual cerebrum dead and another five individuals in doctor’s facility, the wellbeing clergyman says.
The oral trial was being directed by a private research center in the north-western city of Rennes, Marisol Touraine said.
The trial has been suspended and the firm is reviewing the volunteers. It is vague what number of individuals are included.
Media reports that the medication is a cannabis-based painkiller have been denied by the wellbeing service.
The Paris prosecutor’s office said an examination had been opened.
The medication was taken in an authorized research facility, the service said in an announcement (in French).
Ms Touraine, who was setting out toward Rennes on Friday, vowed to “get to the base… of this sad mishap”.
The primary individuals to fall sick were taken into healing facility not long ago, French media say.
The study was a Phase I clinical trial, in which solid volunteers take the medicine to assess the wellbeing of its utilization, the service said.
