FIR lodges against Chief of PST Sarwat Ejaz Qadri

ISLAMABAD: FIR has been registered by the police against Chief of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST), Sarwat Ejaz Qadri and the demonstrators who have staged sit-in in front of the Parliament House in Red Zone area of Islamabad.

Separate cases were registered in I-9 Police Station and Kohsar Police Station on Monday.

Chief of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST), Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, Khadam Hussain, Afzal Qadri and Dr Ashraf were among those who were retained.

Provisions of holding prohibited public meeting and carrying out offensive dialogues against the government were included in the FIRs of the cases.

The protesters have demanded two time daily food, addition with drinking water and to make toilets. On the hand government has reject the demand to accept. The protesters include Sunni Tehreek (ST) and Tehreek-i-Labbaik Ya Rasool (SAW) leadership and companion in to sit-in.

The other demands include the implementation of shariah law in the country and also declaring Mumtaz Qadri as a martyr.

Police and Rangers threw tear gas shells on the dissident of government in a bid to disburse them. The confrontment results in the injures 42 security and 16 citizens injured.
