Finally, Justice is Served; Nawaz & Maryam Behind the Bars
But with little to worry. Watch the exclusive Sihala rest house pictures where "the Jati Umrah" princess could be moved, later on.
Convicted Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, also convicted in the Avenfield reference case in forgery for seven years, have been moved to Adiyala without delay in Rawalpindi after their arrival in Lahore on Friday (13 July 2018), a few hours ago.
In step with the court orders, National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) DG Lahore has sought permission via a letter from Chairman NAB for moving the pair to Adiala prison by helicopter. The convicted father-daughter pair was flying from London to surrender. Throughout their journey, convicted Maryam Nawaz looked poised and calm with a sustained smile on her face. Nobody could decipher the reason behind that smile of a convicted criminal.
According to sources, for a time being, Maryam Nawaz along with her father would remain in Adiyala for the medical checkup but later on, she would be shifted to Sihala resthouse-an extremely lavish resthouse, and her father would serve his term in Adiyala in cell no. 11. Despite the fact, She was required to serve a rigorous imprisonment; her stay in Sihala would be anything but imprisonment. What to talk of rigorous!
As of now, convicted Maryam Nawaz is in Adiyala Jail, in the female barrack, where Ayan Ali (the model and money launderer) was kept during her trial in 2017. Whereas, her father, Nawaz Sharif, has been allotted the cell of the former PM of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. Maryam Nawaz’s husband has already been detained last week and is also serving his term in Adiyala. All three of them, Nawaz, Maryam, and Safdar have been allotted prisoner-numbers in alignment with the court orders of the Honourable Judge Mohammad Bashir, who indicted the three of them in the Avenfield reference case.
Initially, it was expected that there would be scuffles between the police and PML-N workers on the roads to resist the arrest of their beloved convicted “leader and a penthouse pirate” but not even Shahbaz Sharif; his own brother and PML-N president, reached the airport. Strange wheeling and dealings in the political corridors!
