FBR will only probe Panama leaks disclosures if govt writes a letter
Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has linked investigation into Panama leaks scandal to the government letter saying that it will not conduct probe unless the government writes it a letter in this regard.
FBR spokesman Dr Iqbal told media that the FBR will not initiate probe unless government asked it to do so. “We will start probe into the issue only after we get a letter from the government,” he said.
Names of over 200 Pakistanis including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children have appeared in Panama papers for having offshore holdings.
