Four Factory Workers Die After Falling Into A Chemical Tank

After the Last years incident that claimed the lives of five people in a Korangi factory, due to inhaling the fumes while cleaning the chemical tank. Not improving the security in the factories, four more factory workers have lost their lives by falling into a chemical tank in Port Bin Qasim.

The cause of death of the workers was due to inhaling chemical fumes inside the tank, which was under construction. The factory is located near Ghaggar Phatak.

The officers said that one of the workers was fixing the tanks ventilator when he slipped into the tank, his three colleagues came to his rescue and died while trying. However, there was the fifth worker as well but he was rescued and immediately shifted to a hospital.

The deceased were identified as Zahoor Ahmed, Tanveer Ahmed, Faizan, and Faisal while Ali Shah was rescued.

The SHO said that the owners of the factory would be taken into account after fulfilling the legal procedures.

Mr. Shah asked if the factory was registered and when was the factory last inspected.

The factory had been sealed and that a search was on for its owner.
