It was though in circulation that the social network giant Facebook is to introduce a ‘dislike’ button also along with ‘like’ one, however, it is to be mentioned that Facebook is to introduce six reactions along with the ‘like’ one.
The company is to actually launch ‘reactions’ instead of the ‘dislike’ button for which the users had been requesting the company to be introduced along with ‘like’. It is to allow the people to react in a more complex way to the posts on Facebook.
Many people asked for a ‘dislike’ button to press in order to show disliking to the post however the site worried that the button might get used in a negative way.
Instead, it would provide people with six different emoji-based ‘reactions’ that they can use along with the ‘like’ button.
The reactions will include ‘Love’, ‘Haha’, ‘Yay’, ‘Wow’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Angry’ each of which with a correspondent picture.
The website had earlier, announced that it was testing out the reactions in at least six different countries.
The ‘Yay’ button has been removed as it caused a problem of not being ‘universally understood’, according to a spokesperson.
The team selected the six reactions by discussing with sociologists, according to Bloomberg.
