Entire transmission system needs upgradation in Sindh: Minister
Islamabad, August 30 (Online): The federal government has assured Sindh government of addressing its complaints regarding power outages in the province.
Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah held a meeting meeting here on Tuesday.
Law and order situation in the province specially Karachi was also discussed during the meeting. Later talking to journalists, the minister said that some of the problems faced by the province will be addressed in the next two to three days.
As regards the upgradation of transmission system in Sindh, the Minister said the whole transmission system requires upgradation which will be done in the next one and a half years.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sindh Chief Minister said the provincial government will exploit the renewable energy sources in order to generate 800 to 1000 megawatt of power in the next two years.
