England favorite against Pakistan, says Wasim

Karachi: Former Pakistani cricketer and world’s renowned bowler Wasim Akram has said that England is he favorite against Pakistan in upcoming test series.

He said England team has been giving quite outstanding performances in the recent past so it might be possible the competition will not be there.

Wasim said in interview to BBC that this series is actually a test for Pakistan team’s batting line. Pakistan team has only tow experienced player in the face of Younis Khan and Misbah -ul-Haq.

In front of England team, making 350 runs would quite be a difficult tast. Pakistan team should fight to make runs rather than playing with defending strategy.

Bowler with 414 wickets in Test cricket and 502 wickets in One-Day Cricket, Wasim Akram said that the series will largely depend on how fit James Anderson is and he how is going to play the first match.

Akram said that many people say that the conditions are easier to play for England in July, but he doesn’t believe that. England pitches are not easy to play as duke ball swings much on England pitches.
Moreover he said Pakistan has a bowling with great variety. Pakistan could use Yasir Shah as its trump card.
