Earthquake jolts capital city and surrounding areas


Islamabad: Earthquake jolted Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas on Tuesday.

The intensity measured 4.0 on the Richter Scale with the epicenter of the quake in Hazro near Attock, Punjab and had depth of 12 kilometer, says Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Tremors were felt in twin cities, Wah Cantt, Attaock, Hazro, Texila,  Mansehra, Balakot, Haripur, Swabi and Nowshehra.

No causality is reported yet.
