With the increase in events of drug smuggling, another one has made it to the list, while Benazir Bhutto International Airport was the place of discovery yet again.
70 capsules filled with heroin were recovered from a passenger who was traveling to Jeddah on Thursday. The person has been identified as Muhammad Irshad, belonging to Sargodha.
Airport Security detained the passenger when they discovered the drugs hidden in diapers. The passenger was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force. He has been charged with a drug smuggling case.
Each capsule contained 400 grams of heroin.
ANF is trying to investigate wheater the person acted alone or had an accomplice.
ANF having their plate full from all the previous drug busts they carried out involving PIA officials, this one also seems like a challenge for ANF. The real question is what will be the actions taken by the Security agencies to stop the spread of drugs in Pakistan.
