Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of India’s Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi, is suffering from dengue fever and is under treatment at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said the hospital authorities on Friday.
Priyanka was admitted to the hospital on August 23 and her treatment is being monitored by chest medicine consultant Arup Basu, reported Times of India.
“Priyanka Vadra had fever initially but later she was confirmed as suffering from dengue. She was brought to the hospital on August 23,” DS Rana, Chairman (Board of Management) of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Regarding her condition, he said Priyanka is recovering.
Till now, the capital of India – New Delhi has registered 657 cases of dengue – with 325 patients from Delhi and 332 from other states.
