RAWALPINDI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday has arrested three terrorists of banned outfit, during search operation in Bahawlpur.
Counter terrorism personnel recovered arms, explosive material and terrorism literature from arrested persons.
During another operation terrorist from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) named Mehmood UL Hassan was shot dead along with his associate in Jindola, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR confirmed that the operation was conducted in Jindola, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan on Friday. The operation was conducted upon intelligence information of terrorists’ presence in the area. The suspect was a key member of the TTP Sajna Group, as told by ISPR.
The suspect was identified as ‘Khwaja Madni.’
Separately, during a search operation in the area of Sibi, forces recovered huge reserve of arms and ammunition. Two Submachine guns (SMGs), hand grenades, rifles, RPG rockets, land mines, and 10kg of explosive material was recovered from the location.
Earlier this month, law enforcement agencies held four operatives of a banned organization, from Peshawar. At least, 25 suspects were arrested from Charsadda’s Tangi area, during the search operations under the operation Rad-UL-Fassad.
Forces had also seized weapons include rocket launchers, Kalashnikovs, hand grenades, pistols and guns during the search operations.
During the search operation in Gujrat, two operatives of a banned organization were arrested by the security forces. The arrested suspects were identified as Ismael Khalil and Zubair. The arrested suspects were identified as members of Daesh (also known as ISIL, Islamic State, or ISIS).
