COAS visits Pak-China joint special force exercise
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited the National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC) Pabbi and witnessed Pak-China joint Special Forces exercise “YOUYI-VI 2016” here on Thursday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations, the two week-long exercise is focused on counter terrorism operations and sharing of field combat experiences of the two armed forces.
While speaking on this occasion, the chief of army staff congratulated all participants of the exercise for displaying high level of professionalism and combating skills.
He emphasized that such exercises will consolidate our special relationship with Chinese Armed Forces and will help us eliminating terrorism from the region.
We are sharing our experiences with the world for the benefit of humanity and as an obligation towards international peace.
Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Comd 1 Corps Lt Gen Umar Farooq Durrani and Inspector General Training and Evaluation Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.
