Clashes erupted between student, forces in IOK

In occupied Kashmir, massive clashes erupted between the students of Boys Degree College, Islamabad, and Indian forces, on Wednesday, after police tried to unfurl Indian flag during a police sports festival event in the college premises in the town.

A sports event was underway in the College premises in south Kashmir when the tri-color was hoisted and a large number of students present raised their voice against it.
“Soon the protesting students raising slogans sabotaged the event and set the hoards and other things around ablaze,” witnesses said adding a part of the podium was also set on fire.

Annoyed by the unfurling of the Indian flag, students stormed the podium and ransacked chairs, canopies and started pelting stones on Indian forces. The forces’ personnel resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the students.

Intense pro-freedom sloganeering, stone pelting and tear gas shelling were going on inside the campus when reports last came in.
