CJP orders fixing hearing of Quetta hospital bomb blast case on Sep 20
ISLAMABAD, August 31 (Online): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali while taking suo motu notice of Quetta tragedy has ordered fixing the hearing of the case on September 20.
The CJP Anwar Zaheer Jamali directed registrar office to collect all the details of the incident besides ordering for fixing September 20 for hearing the case.
Notices were issued to IG, chief secretary and advocate general Balochistan.
The terrorists had conduced suicide attack in civil hospital following the target killing of president Balochistan Bar Association when a large number of the lawyers were present in the hospital. 73 persons were killed on the spot.
The lawyers had demanded CJP for taking suo motu notice of the incident.
The CJP ordered that IG Balochistan and advocate general should inform the court about the investigations made so far into the incident and payment of relief grant to the affectees of the blast.
