CDA confronts with intense financial crisis

Islamabad, November  06 (Online): Capital Development Authority (CDA) is confronting with intense financial crisis as currently authority finance department has only Rs 1.25 billion. 
The inner sources stated that newly appointed Chairman CDA Afzal Latif is facing great challenge in the shape of encroachments, land mafia and dealing with political inquires that were going on against CDA.
However, CDA finance department told “Online” that currently authority has Rs 1.25 billion as amount earned through auction of plots. The available amount could be used as monthly salary of CDA employees, he added.
Official stated that huge amount of Rs 500 million needed every month for department monthly salary department vehicle’s petrol, diesel and repairing work included houses maintenance.
He stated that employees of CDA had also deprived of salaries because financial crisis in past. On that time employees had faced inconvenience due to non-payment of salaries and demanded of the administration to pay them salary on priority basis and currently authority has only one month salary.
It is worth mentioned here that both the CDA and Islamabad Metropolitan are giving salary to their employees by auction of costly plots during the past few years.
