Assistant Commissioner celebrates Leonardo’s Oscar win by a tea break

MUZAFFARABAD: The recent win of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar went viral as after 6 nominations and endless memes of him winning an Oscar came to an end as he finally won an Oscar for his role in ‘The Revenant’

His win was celebrated by Rizwan Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner of the Inland Revenue department in Azad Jammu Kashmir, who stated that he was “inspired” by the Titanic star “because he’d been nominated four times and he never lost faith despite losing”.

This is the first Academy Award for Leonardo DiCaprio. In the Revenant, Leonardo DiCaprio plays Hugh Glass, who is badly mauled by a grizzly and abandoned by his fellow trappers. Barely surviving his wounds, Glass is driven by thoughts of his family and a desire for revenge as he endures the frigid winter and pursues the men who left him for dead.

I wanted to convey this message of hard work and commitment in the face of adversity to my staff, Ahmed said.

In honor of Lenoardo DiCaprio getting his long-awaited Oscar, the office of the undersigned wants to arrange a Tea Break for all the staff members, the memo, sent to staff on March 3 and seen by AFP, said.

It meaningfully stated that DiCaprio should have won an Oscar for his role as Howard Hughes in The Aviator, or Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street, or for his roles in The Departed, Gangs of New York, Django Unchained.

Ahmed also urged his staff to take note of DiCaprio’s Oscar speech, in which he spoke ardently about climate change, quoting the actor’s final words: Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted.

Ahmed told AFP that chai, sweets and biscuits had been served during the break.
