MUMBAI: BJP’s MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha had demanded that Jinnah House, the residence of founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah should be demolished and a cultural center should be build there.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Mangal Prabhat Lodha expressed his rage in the Indian legislative assembly. He showed his hatred against Jinnah while addressing to the issue of budget of Public Works Department, he called Jinnah house as: ‘the place from where the conspiracy of partition started’.
He believes that there was an excess amount of money was being spent on the maintenance of the building. He demanded to remove the Jinnah House and aksed to build a cultural heritage center that would depict the Maharashtra’s culture. He declared that this act would keep the esteemed history of India.
BJP lawmaker claimed Jinnah House as the property of Indian government, according to the Enemy Property Act and said: “Demolishing the Jinnah house is the ultimate option. Jinnah’s relatives cannot claim right to ownership now.”
The residence of Quaid-e-Azam is situated at the 10 Aurangzeb Road of Malabar Hill area. Jinnah House was built in 1936 and it was evacuated by Jinnah in 1947 partition. Quaid mainly used to live in this house before the partition.
Indian parliament had passed the Enemy Property Bill. According to the recent amendment in the act, people who left India and migrated to China or Pakistan will have no claim over their properties.
India always tried to show its hatred against the Muslims and Pakistan, but the recent government of BJP had crossed all the limits. It put apart all the constitution and openly committed anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim activities. The recent activity was also a part of such hatred acts.
