Altaf summons will cost Rs1.3million to Pakistan
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) devised a new strategy to summon the traitor Altaf Hussian through international newspapers. A report for this proposal was submitted in ATC court. During the course of hearing in Imran Farooq murder case, FIA Special Prosecutor told the court that Agency will publish the summon notice of Altaf in The New York times and Guardian.
He further told the court that a formal request letter was emailed to the international newspapers and an answer was received from both the papers on 5th January. The court was further told that cost for this advertising will be Rs1.3 million.
During the proceedings, Justice Shahrukh Arjumand asked the FIA that why only name of Altaf is mentioned in advertising ?. ATC judge in his remarks ordered the FIA team to mentioned the residence address of Altaf in Britain.
The court was assured that the FIA would release the required funds for the advertisements soon.
FIA has also contacted the interpol headquarter in France for further help in on going investigation of Imran Farooq murder case. Imran Farooq, a senior leader in MQM was attacked in Green Lane on September 16, 2010, outside his London home. A post-mortem examination had revealed that he died from multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to the head.
