Zymal Umar is the youngest social entrepreneur of Pakistan being the founder of innovative social project, Zee Bags.
The 9-year-old Zymal Umar initiated an innovative project Zee Bags. At the age of 6 years, the little girl got disheartened to see plastic bags laying uselessly across the city. At present, she is selling these bags to relatives and few fairs. The profit she gains from the sale is used to help the orphans at SOS village.
However, Zymal hopes for a ‘green’ Sargodha and a ‘green’ Pakistan. She wishes to manufacture these environmental friendly bags in order to help in uplifting the life of the needy and poor people of society consequently.
But, she is yet not able to fulfill this dream without other’s help.
Her Facebook page requested the followers to “help her improve the living standards of the future generation of our country as plastic bags not only clog the municipal drains but are also the breeding grounds for mosquitoes which spread taxable diseases. Furthermore, we must not forget that millions of people are suffering from poverty and ignorance. We must not forget that millions of children are out of schools. We must not forget that our sisters and brothers are waiting for a bright peaceful future.”
Therefore, the page demanded to help little girl initiate a global struggle against illiteracy, poverty and pollution.
The post added: Join hands with Zymal in making these bags at your home, school, universities, and offices, anywhere in new and unique styles. Send these bags over to Zymal so she can sell these bags at a broader level (shops, malls etc.). Or better yet call over Zymal and her team to your school to help her sell these bags. The money earned would strictly be used only for charitable projects like SOS village, Rotary projects, Saigal Free Sugar Camp, etc. Come and support Zymal for prosperous Pakistan.
Zymal has a 3-year experience in her work.
Recently, she received the Prince Abdul Aziz Award for Children Pioneer/Ecopreneur Award in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was also awarded TIE youngest entrepreneurship award as well as received a gold medal from the Federal Secretary of Education.
