Karachi (Ahmad): Interior minister of Pakistan Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has said that as many as twenty thousand more police personnel will be recruited in Karachi.
The recruitments will be made to ensure the maintenance of law and order situation and to eliminate the terror threats from the city, he said.
Moreover, he said that two thousand former military soldiers will also be made a part of this twenty thousand strong police force.
He said this while talking to media persons in the Punjab House. He also asserted that martial training will also be made necessary for these police officials and jawans to be recruited.
Talking about the kidnapped son of Sindh High Court chief justice, he informed that not only the police but secret service agencies were also working for the recovery of CJ’s son.
In the meanwhile, the interior minister said that the data of Karachi people will be collected soon in the same manner as done in Islamabad. Moreover, the Chinese government is thinking about making policy with the collaboration of Pakistan government on the security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Ch Nisar Ali Khan informed. The interior minister said that in this serious matter, all kind of suggestions have been taken from all the four provinces of Pakistan. This, however, is in addition to Pakistan army soldiers performing their security duties on the CPEC. Interior minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan visited Karachi two days ago after the two major incidents: murder of Amjad Sabri and kidnapping of son of Sindh chief justice.
