The tour bus was returning from a casino, the sources added.
The collision claimed the lives of bus driver while the truck driver was injured seriously, told the California Highway Patrol division Chief Jim Abele.
“The speed of the bus was so accelerated that when it hit the back of the truck-trailer, the trailer itself entered about 15 feet into the bus,” he told in a press conference.
The MCI bus operated by USA Holiday was returning to Los Angeles from the Red Earth Casino near the Salton Sea, Abele told the media persons.
