100-day failure campaign; not a single street has been cleaned

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar’s 100-day cleanliness campaign has turned into 100-day failure campaign as streets of the metropolis still have tons of garbage.

The campaign which was launched in December 2016, is going to expire today but no change has been observed in Karachi as trash still lingers all around. Roads themselves seem “trash-bins” due to the negligence of administration towards dumping garbage.

Though Mayor Karachi has claimed to remove over 0.20 millions of garbage from several councils in Central District, views around the city do not verify the claim.

Citizens from several areas including North Nazimabad, Lines Area, Liaquatabad, federal B. Area and North Karachi seem hopeless as the reports show that heaps of garbage still persist on roads and streets.
