KOHAT: On Thursday, an intelligence agency with the assistance of local police detained a suspected terrorist wanted by Karachi police in acts of violence and bouts on security personnel from Bazidkhel.
Information was sought by the district security branch that a needed terrorist was present in a house in Bazidkhel area. He was hiding since 2012 and avowed announced criminal by Karachi police.
The suspected extremist was recognised as Mohammad Iqbal and was detained in a search on the house. Iqbal was also required to forces in a murder case of policemen and the Sindh government had dispensed his arrest warrants. He was taken to an unidentified habitation for questioning. The local police said that he would be soon given over to Karachi police.
In the meantime, the police detained an apparent robber here who had taken guns and containers after breaking a shop in Bara market. The victim, Vaqar Hussain, had told Saddar police that one Tahir Khan had stolen 37 pistols and 3,850 cartridges from his shop. They invaded the house of Tahir in Khattak Colony and detained him and recuperated the pistols and cartridges from his possession.
Saddar police have handed over the accused to the City police for further interrogation after registration of a case against him.
