Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan set aside contempt of court notices against Chairman PEMRA and summons BOL News management on February 6.
PEMRA published a tweet stating that 3 member bench of Supreme Court heard the case filed by PEMRA against Sindh High Court issued contempt of court notices against Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA) on Tuesday. The three member bench set aside the notice against Chairman PEMRA and also issued notification to Labbaik Private Limited (BOL News) to appear before the court on February 6, 2017.
The bench comprised of Justice Musheer Alam, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Mian Khel and it was headed by Justice Ameer Hani Muslim.

Sindh High Court had issued contempt of court notice to Chairman PEMRA while hearing the petition filed by Labbaik Private Limited. Against these notices PEMRA filed appeal through Zahid Fakhri and Kashif Hanif Advocate; the appeal was heard by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday in which it issued orders to administration of Labbaik Private Limited (BOL) to be present in the court on February 6.
