Islamabad: The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned hearing of a review petition filed PML-N Ex-MNA Sumera Malik against her life time disqualification till the decision of a larger bench.
When a three-member SC bench headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Wednesday, Mubin-ud-Din, counsel for Malik, prayed the court to adjourn the hearing as several appeals were pending hearing against life time disqualification of his client in the fake degree case.
The court after hearing the arguments of counsel adjourned the hearing till decision of a larger bench.
Malik was elected as Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Khushab on a ticket of the PML-N and her degree was challenged by the rival candidate. She was disqualified after her degree was proved bogus.
