LAHORE (Online): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of Lahore Ring Road Council in which he gave approval to Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop Phase-III, as per press release.
Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that work should immediately be started on Southern Loop Phase-I and Phase-II and be completed within stipulated period.
He said that six interchanges will be constructed on 22.4 kilometer long southern loop while 10 weigh stations will also be set up on entry points.
“Special attention should be paid to horticulture and landscaping on southern loop of Ring Road besides tree plantation should also be carried out on both sides of the road”, he added.
The Chief Minister directed that immediate steps should be taken for starting work on Southern Loop Phase-III. He also directed to improve core capacity of Lahore Ring Road Authority. Commissioner Lahore Division gave a briefing on various affairs of Lahore Ring Road Council.
