Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has made her way to Hollywood and she had a lot to say at the Time 100 Gala last night where she did not speak pleasantly about the US candidate Donald Trump.
The Quantico star, who embellished the cover of Time Magazine’s Most Influential 100 issue, and was included in the list along with icons like Sania Mirza, Taylor Swift, Barack Obama and more, said of Trump’s proposal to ‘ban’ Muslims from America: “I just think you can’t put a ban on anyone. Generalizing a type of people is really primitive.”
The contest contrary to domestic terrorism has developed so intricate that “you can’t put a face on it anymore,” she added.
Chopra has beforehand been verbal about how her role in Quantico (where she plays an FBI agent) has been a revolution for non-mainstream artists.
In a video interview with Time, she says of Quantico: “When was the last time you saw an FBI agent with a hijab, you know? When was the last time you saw an Indian girl who is the headline of a show and the same time so unapologetic and bold and brazen, and not a doctor or a nerd or a computer scientist?”
Priyanka also made her appearance on the red carpet last night as she chose to wear a white pantsuit rather than a long gown (nevertheless wearing an Indian designer would’ve worked too).
Priyanka Chopra has reached heights of her career as she has made her way to Hollywood. She is currently working with big stars of Hollywood in Baywatch and is also playing the lead role in famous season Quantico.
