Pakistan Awami Tehreek will launch protest rally at 12 PM tomorrow In Lahore said Tahirul Qadri while talking to the media.
The protest will be held at provincial capital’s Mall Road, which will be supported by major opposition parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of Imran Khan and Pakistan Peoples Party of Asif Ali Zardari The rally is being carried out in the wake of 2014 Model Town incident.
Qadri said tomorrow’s protest will comprise two sessions, adding that “They the (ministers and officials of Punjab government involved in Model Town incident) would have to resign.”
The PAT chief said they are going to launch a movement to restore democracy in the country and it will not violate the Constitution.
Qadri warned the Punjab government against taking any action regarding their decisive protest aimed at attaining justice for the victims of the Model Town incident.
Imran and Zardari will arrive on stage in different sessions during the protest.
Qadri told that his party has devised a future strategy against the ruling party.
On the said matter the Lahore High Court has formed a larger bench to hear the petition against the arrangement of the Mall Road sit-in by PAT. The court has also rejected the petition seeking to halt January 17 protest against the government. Punjab government has announced that the educational institutions located at and in the vicinity of Mall road will remain closed tomorrow .
The protest venue will be extended to GPO chowk. As many as 200 sofas will be positioned in front of the main stage for the leaders of all the political parties.
